Hurricanes Win CREC Championships!

Basketball ChampsCongratulations to both the boys and girls basketball teams for winning the CREC Championships on March 1st!

The boys played a well fought game against CREC's Academy of Aerospace and Engineering to defend their title. Two Rivers 8th grader Tyreek Hutchinson scored 25 points in the game, earning the distinction of the highest scorer in the game. He was closely followed by Chase from AAE, who scored 22 points.

Excellent playing by Two Rivers players Trevon Ortiz and David Pardo pushed Two Rivers to victory, with a final score of 47-43; Way to go, Hurricanes!

The girls had an equally successful game against CREC Public Safety Academy. It was a hard fought battle to the finish, with Two Rivers ultimately claiming the title for the 3rd year in a row.

Everyone on the team played hard, with exceptional defense and offense played by Julia McLean, Amyah Rosado, Yasmin Salas, Anja Carlmark, Angie Mach, Shaniqua Thomas, and Amaris Perez.

The final score was TRMMS 49-PSA 34 Congratulations to the ladies on their 3rd championship in a row!
