The Hartford Regional History Day competition was held at Two Rivers on Saturday, March 23, involving 400 participants from over 20 schools.

Several of our 8th Grade students participated in the competition, and while they did not move on to the state competition, they presented their projects and interviewed before a team of judges with professionalism.

These students are:

Kezia  Benegyani
Jessie Sampson
Marleesa May
Jeneddis Nieves
Cullen Dalton
Sam Dzwonchyk
Max Sythe

The following students worked on the projects, but were unable to attend:

Chris Santana
Josh Wilkie
Luca Tropea

In addition, Haritha Subramanian and Ola Taha competed in the Mansfield Regional History Day Contest on March 3.  They just missed going to states with their documentary.

It was nice to see several former Two Rivers students (from ASI) competing at the senior level and advancing to the state competition.

All students competed well and represented Two Rivers and themselves with pride and professionalism.  They should be very proud of themselves; their teachers certainly are proud of them!

In addition to the wonderful presentations, Mrs. Carbone ran a concession stand, which raised over $200 to fund the resource room. Thanks to all who donated goods and helped sell!
