CREC Academy of Computer Science & Engineering Middle will set your child on a path to success for middle school, high school, and beyond in one of the most in-demand themes in college and the workplace. Through a direct pathway with the Academy of Computer Science and Engineering High School, students can continue to challenge themselves in a one-of-a-kind learning experience, combining early college opportunities with a technology-rich curriculum, gaining a competitive edge in college applications. The Academy of Computer Science and Engineering leads the way for student success through project-based learning that aligns with the International Society for Technology in Education (ISTE),which prepares students for today's digital world. We are so much more than coding! Partnerships include ISTE, Project Zero at Harvard University, Amazon Future Engineers School, and MakerspaceCT. 

What Sets Our School Apart
Students at the Academy of Computer Science and Engineering Middle School are innovators, problem solvers, creators, and critical thinkers. We infuse the International Society for Technology in Education into our curriculum and provide a technology-rich learning experience across all subject areas. Project-based learning puts student-driven learning and student voice at the instructional center. Students engage in computational and design thinking to become creative communicators, positive digital citizens, and global collaborators. Students explore a variety or programming languages, graphic design, Google suite, project management, robotics and 3d modeling platforms. Students leave the Academy of Computer Science and Engineering Middle School with the skills and the ability to succeed in high school, the workplace, and beyond.
